Sweet little breakfast place with a cute bookcase full of Icelandic books. We were the first customers of the days and were able to fill up and be ready for the rest of our long journey back to Reykjavik. The food was nice, and the staff was friendly. Thank you so much for having us!

Very good coffee and muffins! I especially enjoyed the blueberry and vanilla muffin — it had the perfect balance of sweetness. I wasn’t a fan of the croissant, but the muffins definitely made up for it. Would recommend those!

This is a bookshop themed coffee shop and cafe along Route 1 at Fellabær on the northwest side of the river at Egilsstaðir. They have a good sized indoor seating area and nice environs to enjoy a light bite to eat, dessert and coffee. Opening hours are 9am to 3pm (weekdays), closed on weekends. We made a rest break here during our recent rip around the Ring Road and were served pretty good macchiato and Americano coffees. Both made use of strong espresso with rich flavour. Service was friendly and timely, prices reasonable. Would gladly stop here again for coffee or a light bite to eat in the future.

Hearty tasty breakfast. First time trying Icelandic cake - cream and fruits. Enjoy it a lot.

We shared a crepe (filled pancake) for a quick lunch and it was surprisingly amazing! Very different, filling and delicious. There's a checklist to choose you own ingredients and we chose pepperoni, barley (locally grown), leek, onion, capsicum and cheese. We also had a nice lemon cake and some tea which were great too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is very cute.

Across the river from Egilsstaðir in what appears from outside to be a bookstore, this great little cafe served a hearty buffet for working men for lunch. Best value I had at a restaurant in Iceland!
